Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and adherence.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, company policies and standards; assists pharmacy manager.
• Opens and closes the pharmacy; handles shift changes.
• Applies Good Faith Dispensing policy with controlled substances.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and proposes enhancements.
• Processes insurance claims and follows up with insurers and providers.
• Provides immunizations and preventive health services.
