Job summary

CVS Health in Minnesota is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams and apply classroom learning to real-world practice. Under a preceptor, you’ll follow a comprehensive training roadmap and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations, while ensuring safe, accurate prescription processing and patient care.

You’ll assist with immunizations and other pharmacist‑level services where allowed, learn SOPs, and contribute to a compassionate, compliant patient

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow CVS SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage patient health.
• Assist in safe and accurate prescription fulfillment across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Provide empathetic patient service and support immunizations and other services as appropriate under supervision.
• Counsel patients, gather medical history details, and relay information to ensure optimal care.
• Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify prescriptions per state regulations when allowed.
• Assist with inventory activities and maintain organization per leadership directions.
• Support a high-performing team with a growth mindset and adapt to scheduling needs.
