Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to translate classroom learning into real‑world practice under the guidance of a preceptor. The role focuses on a comprehensive training roadmap, with KLEs and hands‑on experience across store operations, patient care, and pharmacy workflow.

You will work within CVS SOPs to ensure patient safety, accurate dispensing, and empathetic service, while preparing for future pharmacist responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap with KLEs that build aptitude and increasing responsibility.
• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure that prescriptions are filled safely, accurately, and promptly.
• Demonstrate empathy and deliver caring service to patients while following SOPs and CVS policies.
• Learn to counsel patients and respond to medical questions under supervision.
• Support immunizations and point‑of‑care testing where allowed by state laws and training.
• Travel to stores within the market to support scheduling needs when required.
