Job summary

CVS Health in the United States seeks a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply classroom knowledge in a real store setting under a licensed pharmacist. You will support the pharmacy team, ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment, and deliver caring service that meets patient needs.

The program covers SOPs, a training roadmap, and immunization opportunities where allowed, with exposure to store, district, and regional operations as you prepare for increasing responsibility.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• Ability to become immunization certified: Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Assist pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, accurate prescription fulfillment and patient safety.
• Demonstrate empathy and care in all customer interactions and help maintain a welcoming store environment.
• Participate in training roadmap and KLEs to build clinical and technical knowledge.
• Travel to stores in the market to support shifts as needed by the business.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, CVS policies and SOPs.
