Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd-year Pharmacy Intern to join our retail pharmacy team in Michigan. You’ll translate didactic learning into real-world practice under a preceptor, supporting pharmacists, technicians, and patients with safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and compassionate care.

You’ll follow SOPs, participate in immunization and other services as allowed, and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations while developing readiness for a Pharmacist role.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health.
• Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences showing empathy and genuine care; providing counseling and fielding medical questions under supervision.
• Taking telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber and clarifying prescriptions when allowed by state regulation.
• Maintaining the highest level of self-awareness and providing coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.

Education

ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy

Intern and/or technician licensure in progress or required
