Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to contribute to pharmacy operations in a store in Michigan. You will apply didactic learning in real-world practice under a preceptor, supporting safe prescriptions and patient care while preparing for a Pharmacist role.

You will gain hands-on experience with SOPs, patient interactions, immunizations, and collaboration with pharmacy teams across the store and district levels.

Qualifications

• Required to be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to support pharmacists and technicians.
• Assist with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment across production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, and drop‑off.
• Counsel patients when appropriate under supervision of a licensed pharmacist and answer basic questions.
• Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify prescriptions when allowed by state regulations.
• Demonstrate empathy and provide high-quality customer service to patients and colleagues.
• Maintain inventory and assist with cycle counts and returns‑to‑stocks as directed.
• Remain flexible for scheduling, travel to stores as needed, and comply with all laws and CVS policies.
• Deliver vaccines and point‑of‑care testing where allowed and trained.
