Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to join our store pharmacy teams. You will translate didactic learning into real-world practice under a preceptor, supporting safe, accurate prescriptions and patient care.

The role emphasizes SOP adherence, empathy, and learning through a structured training roadmap. As a 3rd year intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in immunizations, counseling, inventory, and cross-store collaboration while developing readiness for a Pharmacist role.

Qualifications

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Preferred ability to immunize and provide patient counseling where allowed by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Verify prescription information and ensure labeling accuracy for patient safety.
• Provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively with pharmacy team.
• Communicate clearly with patients and colleagues; demonstrate active listening.
• Apply mathematical reasoning to determine days’ supply and dispensing quantities.
• Adapt to different tasks and locations across the market as needed.
