Job summary

The Christ Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to support the pharmacy team in daily medication preparation and distribution. Under pharmacist supervision, you will handle unit-dose packaging, IV admixtures, and outpatient prescriptions, while ensuring accurate labeling and safe storage.

You will use Epic to look up patient information, manage RX messages, and print labels, supporting a smooth workflow and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Pass an exam approved by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy (PTCB/ CPhT) and register as Technician in Training; upon completion, register as Certified Technician.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications under pharmacist supervision according to physician orders.
• Handle unit-dose filling, labeling, dispensing, and inventory tasks.
• Assist in IV room aseptic preparation and labeling of sterile products.
• Process outpatient prescriptions, ring up sales, and complete required paperwork as directed.
• Answer phones, relay messages, and maintain a neat, clean, and safe department.
