Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to support the daily operations of the Department of Pharmacy Services in Cincinnati. Under pharmacist supervision, you will prepare and distribute medications, assist in unit dose and IV compounding, and help with outpatient transactions and medication deliveries.

You will use Epic for patient information lookup and RX messaging, handle call-ins, and maintain inventory and paperwork.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
Must pass an Ohio State Board of Pharmacy approved examination (PTCB/CPhT acceptable).
Register as Technician in Training with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy; upon training completion, become Certified Technician and keep certification active.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation and distribution of medications under supervision.
Perform unit dose filling, labeling, and dispensing; load and refill automated dispensing machines.
Perform IV room preparation using aseptic technique; label and package sterile products.
Assist in outpatient area tasks including selecting items, ringing up sales, and completing required OSHP documentation.
Handle medication deliveries to various hospital areas and maintain proper storage and rotation of stock.
Answer phone calls, relay messages, and assist with paperwork related to medication distribution.
Maintain department safety and cleanliness, and support daily pharmacy operations.
