Job summary

CVS Health is offering a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern program in Florida. Interns will apply didactic learning in real-world practice under a licensed pharmacist, following a comprehensive training roadmap and SOPs to support the pharmacy team and patient care.

Responsibilities include safe prescription fulfillment, patient counseling, and participation in immunization services and other pharmacist-led programs where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy enrollment or acceptance.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time.
• Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
• Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy for patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on KLEs.
• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel patients, field medical questions, and solicit medical history information when appropriate.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions with prescribers where allowed.
• Contribute to a high-performing team and share best practices.
• Perform basic inventory activities and assist with cycle counts and stock management.
• Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed by the business.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and CVS policies.
