Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world practice within our retail pharmacies. You will work under a preceptor to complete a structured training roadmap, gain hands-on experience, and support the pharmacy team in safe, accurate prescription fulfillment while delivering caring service that exceeds patient expectations.

You will learn to operate within SOPs, engage with patients, and collaborate with leaders across stores, districts, and regions.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited college enrollment or active participation in an accredited pharmacy program.
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure or in the process of obtaining it.
• Ability to adhere to required training timelines and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists/technicians to fill prescriptions accurately and promptly.
• Follow pharmacy workflows and SOPs across all workstations.
• Provide empathetic patient service and assist with immunizations and services when allowed.
• Counsel patients and collect necessary information under supervision.
• Communicate clearly with prescribers and healthcare teams as needed.
• Remain flexible with scheduling and travel to stores as required.
