Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply classroom learning in real-world settings within our retail pharmacy teams. Under a preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap, complete Key Learning Experiences, and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations while ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on a task, pivot between tasks, ensure prescription labeling accuracy
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people in a friendly manner and respond to patients
• Communication Skills: clear verbal and written interactions with patients and colleagues
• Mathematical Reasoning: calculate prescriptions, days supply, and bottle counts
• Problem Resolution: handle challenging patient or colleague interactions appropriately
• Physical Demands: mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, sustained standing and manual tasks
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager
