Job summary

CVS Health in Ohio seeks a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply school learning in real-world practice under a pharmacist preceptor, gaining exposure to store, district, and regional operations.

You will assist the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate prescriptions, provide empathetic patient care, participate in immunizations and patient counseling under supervision, and travel to other stores as needed.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy enrolled or accepted.
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to assist pharmacists and technicians in patient care.
• Process prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Counsel patients and answer medical questions under supervision.
• Assist with immunizations and point-of-care testing where allowed.
• Support training and mentoring of pharmacy team.
• Travel to stores in the market as needed.
