Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning to real-world practice within our CVS Pharmacy teams. Under a preceptor, you will follow a structured training roadmap, participate in store operations, and support safe, efficient prescription fulfillment while delivering caring service that exceeds patient expectations.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Attention and focus to concentrate on tasks and switch between tasks as needed
• Customer service orientation with teamwork and communication
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to assist Pharmacists and Technicians
• Assist with prescription fulfillment across production, pick-up, drive-thru and drop-off
• Provide empathetic, personalized patient service and immunizations where allowed
• Counsel patients, gather medical history, and escalate issues to a licensed pharmacist
• Assist with telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers as needed
• Mentor pharmacy team members and support inventory tasks
• Be flexible with scheduling across the market as needed
