Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to learn how to deliver an outstanding patient experience by assisting the pharmacist and team in accordance with regulations. You will use pharmacy systems to access patient and drug information and process prescriptions, while delivering trusted service and policy adherence.

Under supervision, you will participate in pharmacy activities, support patient counseling, and help maintain store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients with greeting and assistance to ensure a positive experience.
• Models customer service best practices and Walgreens service traits to deliver a distinctive experience.
• Develops strong relationships with customers.
• Under supervision by the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy per state and company policy.
• Review and comply with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and SOPs for prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists in delivering patient care within the state scope of practice.
• Report prescription errors promptly and adhere to company policies and QA programs.
• Handle cash register duties and help customers locate products.
• Support inventory management and stock control in the Pharmacy Department.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and orderly department and cooperate with coworkers.
