Job summary

Walgreens Fraser, MI is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and team in delivering exceptional patient care. You'll use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, while learning policy, procedures, and customer service best practices.

You will engage customers, assist with inventory, and help ensure accurate dispensing under supervision, including counseling and health services within the state's scope.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and assists with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Models customer service best practices and Walgreens service traits.
• Develops strong relationships with customers.
• Learn from store and pharmacy teams and leadership.
• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision; follow policies.
• Support third-party processing, entering, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
• Assist with patient counseling and health services within state scope.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
• Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policy.
• Handle cash transactions and guide customers to OTC.
• Support inventory management in Pharmacy Department.
• Maintain stocked, clean, and orderly Pharmacy Department.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks.
