Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care and service. You will learn to use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, help process prescriptions, and engage customers with a friendly, proactive approach.

Under supervision, you will participate in counseling, assist with health services within the state scope of practice, and contribute to accurate dispensing while maintaining compliance with policies

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist and pharmacy team to provide patient care and service.
• Engage customers and patients to ensure a positive experience.
• Support pharmacy operations including dispensing processes under supervision.
• Participate in inventory management and routine store duties as directed by the pharmacist.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follow company policies.
