Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to learn and assist the pharmacist and team in providing excellent patient experiences. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and help process prescriptions under supervision.

You will learn policies, procedures, and customer service best practices to perform as a future pharmacist, including health services like blood pressure and counseling where allowed by state scope of practice. SF-specific guidance applies.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Under pharmacist supervision, assist in the practice of pharmacy and in entering, third party processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists in delivering patient care and services within state scope of practice.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follow quality procedures.
