Job summary

CVS Health in Pennsburg, PA is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply school learning in real-world pharmacy operations. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will support immunizations, prescription processing, patient counseling, and team-based care while developing into a Pharmacist role.

This part-time internship emphasizes SOP compliance, safety, accurate dispensing, and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment under supervision.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off).
• Counsel patients, field medical questions, and obtain medical history when appropriate under supervision.
• Manage telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers when needed according to state law.
• Maintain inventory and support training and coaching of pharmacy team members.
