Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd-year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world pharmacy practice within our retail stores. You will work under a preceptor to learn store, district, and regional operations while supporting pharmacists and technicians.

You will gain hands-on experience in prescription processing, patient counseling, immunization services where permitted, and collaborative team-based care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must be enrolled or accepted and pursuing required intern/technician licensure.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at every workstation to support pharmacists and technicians in patient care.
• Assist with pharmacy workflow to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Deliver empathetic patient service at pickup, drive-thru, and over the phone; provide immunizations when applicable.
• Counsel patients and collect pertinent medical history when appropriate under supervisor.
• Process telephonic prescriptions and coordinate with prescribers as allowed by state regulations.
• Support inventory tasks and share best practices with the pharmacy team.
