Meijer is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support customer service, prescription processing, and clinical services in our Indiana pharmacy. You will work with pharmacists to ensure accurate dispensing, data entry, and third-party functions while maintaining patient confidentiality.

The role emphasizes strong communication, dependability, and teamwork, with opportunities to grow through Meijer's education assistance and development programs.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Pharmacy Intern License (state-specific).
• Positive attitude and excellent communication.
• Neat, legible penmanship and good organizational skills.
• Team-oriented, dependable and timely.
• Basic math and professional appearance are required.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and MTM/third-party processes.
• Knowledge of brand/generic terminology and pharmacy terminology.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service and assist patients with product selection.
• Communicate with patients in person and by phone; assist with medication pricing.
• Process and fill prescriptions and use the pharmacy computer system for data entry.
• Handle third-party adjudication, inventory management and balance on hand.
• Update orders, receive prescriptions at Will Call, and perform third-party functions.
• Provide clinical services as trained and authorized.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
