Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams across stores in the market. You will help ensure accurate prescription fulfillment, assist patients with counseling, immunizations, and other services under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.

This part-time role requires ACPE-accredited program enrollment and intern/technician licensure as applicable, with attendance including weekends and travel to stores as needed.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends, is required.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to assist Pharmacists and Technicians in patient care.
• Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel and assist patients, under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, when appropriate.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions with prescribers when allowed by state law.
• Support immunizations and other services as permissible by state regulations.
• Assist with inventory activities and cycle counts per leadership directions.
• Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed by the business.
