Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply classroom learning in real-world practice at CVS Retail locations. Under a preceptor, you will follow a structured training roadmap, assisting pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe, accurate dispensing and excellent patient service.

You may support immunizations and other clinic services, learn SOPs, and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations while developing toward a Pharmacist role.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Follow SOPs and maintain patient privacy and security.
• Support immunizations and other pharmacy services where allowed by law.
• Learn to handle telephonic prescriptions and collaborate with the pharmacist on duty.
• Provide empathetic, patient-centered service and participate in a supportive team environment.
