Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Indiana is seeking a Pharmacy intern to provide customer service, process and fill prescriptions, and support clinical services under supervision.

You will assist patients, communicate in person and by phone, handle third party functions, inventory, and stay current on pharmacy-related practices and confidentiality requirements within a team environment at Meijer Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy program with active internship license.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with confidentiality.
• Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations and coordinate third party billing.
• Familiarity with health screening, immunizations and MTM platforms under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and assist patients with product selection and pricing.
• Process and fill prescriptions using the pharmacy system and perform third party adjudication.
• Assist with inventory management and balance on hand, vendor transfers and charges.
• Support clinical services and patient care activities under supervision.
