Job summary

Walgreens Co. seeks a Pharmacy Intern to learn the patient experience by assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations.

You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, while delivering a distinctive customer experience. Under supervision, you will support inventory management, assist in health services, and participate in training to expand knowledge of pharmacy practice and policy.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues to ensure a positive experience and shares best practices with team members.
• Assists pharmacist and healthcare providers in delivering patient care within the state scope of practice.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to quality improvement policies.
• Maintains store and pharmacy area, assists with inventory and cash handling, and supports maintenance of a clean, organized department.
