Job summary

Walgreens seeks a Pharmacy Intern to learn how to provide an outstanding patient experience while assisting pharmacists and team members. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and help process prescriptions.

You will also learn to deliver counseling, support health services, and follow Walgreens procedures and Good Faith Dispensing policies as part of a compliant practice.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers and patients to ensure a positive experience.
• Support pharmacists and pharmacy team with prescription processing.
• Assist in entering, third party processing, filling and dispensing under supervision.
• Assist with patient counseling and health services within state scope.
• Report prescription errors to the on-duty pharmacist and follow policies.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and assist with store duties.
• Participate in inventory management and keep the pharmacy neat.
