Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support daily operations, deliver patient-centered service, and assist in processing and filling prescriptions. You will work under a licensed pharmacist, learn third-party billing processes, and participate in health screenings and MTM activities as trained.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program; active progress toward licensure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient service.
• Ability to work accurately in a busy, detail-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated teamwork and reliability in a retail setting.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and respond to patient inquiries.
• Interact with patients face-to-face and by phone to assist product selection and price information.
• Process and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Use the pharmacy computer system for data entry, adjudication, and inventory control.
• Assist with third-party billing and related administrative tasks.
• Support inventory management, including ordering and receiving stock.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness at the workflow stations.
