Job summary

CVS Health in Illinois is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams by applying didactic knowledge to real‑world practice under a preceptor. You will follow SOPs, learn store operations, and gain exposure to district and regional activities.

You'll perform essential duties under supervision, help ensure accurate prescriptions, provide patient‑centered service, and develop skills for a future Pharmacist role, with immunization and clinical exposure where allowed.

Qualifications

• ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy enrolled or accepted.
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Active enrollment in ACPE program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely.
• Provide empathetic customer service and engage with patients.
• Counsel patients and obtain medical history when appropriate under supervision.
• Support immunization services and point-of-care testing where allowed by state law.
• Maintain SOP compliance and contribute to a safe, efficient pharmacy environment.
