Job summary
CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern for an on-site, part-time role in Chicago, IL. The intern will work under a pharmacist and preceptor, applying didactic learning to real-world practice while completing a comprehensive training roadmap.
The role emphasizes safe prescription fulfillment, patient counseling, immunizations support where allowed, and participation in store, district, and regional operations. Eligibility includes ACPE-accredited program enrollment and intern licensure.
Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
Responsibilities
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Assist pharmacy team to ensure medication is filled safely and accurately.
- Counsel patients and answer medical questions under supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions when needed.
- Complete comprehensive training roadmap focusing on KLEs.
- Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed.
- Comply with CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy.
