Job summary

Liberty Software in Grapevine, TX seeks a Pharmacy Insurance Specialist to resolve insurance issues for client pharmacies, including Medicaid, Medicare Parts B and D, and manufacturer programs. The role involves direct communication with insurers, documenting actions, and maintaining NCPDP format data.

Two or more years in pharmacy or technician roles are preferred, with strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, and familiarity with Liberty Software RXQ/BZQ tools. On-site position in Grapevine.

Qualifications

• At least two years of pharmacy or pharmacy technician experience.
• Extensive experience in insurance adjudication.
• Ability to communicate by phone and email to client organizations and insurers.
• Familiarity with NCPDP format databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for pharmacy clients via calls and tickets to resolve insurance issues.
• Document each interaction and actions taken in tracking software.
• Communicate with insurance providers and switch companies on the pharmacy’s behalf.
• Handle insurance requests and escalated reviews promptly.
• Maintain Liberty Software’s master NCPDP format database and update as needed.

We're excited to grow our team by hiring a Pharmacy Insurance Specialist to assist our customers in getting resolutions for all their insurance needs including Medicaid programs, Medicare Parts B and D, manufacturer assistance programs and more.

• This role is based in our Grapevine, TX office

What You’ll Do:

• Operate as the first point of contact for incoming calls and tickets from pharmacy clients to provide prompt insurance resolutions
• Document each phone call and the actions performed in tracking software
• Communicate directly with insurance providers and switch companies on the pharmacy’s behalf
• Complete insurance requests and escalated insurance reviews in a timely manner
• Update and maintain Liberty Software’s master National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) format database
• Provide unmatched customer service in every client interaction

Qualifications:

• At least two years of pharmacy/pharmacy technician experience required, with three to five years being preferred
• Extensive experience in insurance adjudication
• Familiarity with independently owned pharmacies a plus
• Demonstrated ability to communicate by phone and email to members of client organizations and third-party companies such as insurance providers and pharmacy switches
• Proven ability to shift between multiple tasks as needed
• Strong attention to detail, as well as strong written and documentation skills
• Excellent listening and critical thinking skills
• Experience using Liberty Software products (RXQ, BZQ) a plus
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning new software products needed
