Job summary

UTMB Health seeks a Pharmacy Informatics Specialist to design, configure, implement, and support complex pharmacy IT systems in a regulated healthcare setting. You will collaborate with Pharmacy Services and Information Services to analyze requirements, implement solutions, and educate users across multiple platforms including Epic and Pyxis.

The role requires a PharmD or equivalent degree with IS-related EMR experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a commitment to data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required.
• Two years of IS-related experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Experience in clinical information systems analysis, design, and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex clinical operations and data to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Services and IS to implement and maintain clinical information systems.
• Plan, upgrade, and evaluate clinical information systems and training for users.
• Ensure data integrity, system reliability, and timely issue resolution.
• Communicate status and updates to pharmacy leadership and IS leadership.
