Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a post-graduate pharmacist under direct supervision to fulfill state board requirements and provide pharmacy consulting to customers on medication usage, interactions, and preventive care such as immunizations.

You will support proper compounding, dispensation, review and verification of prescriptions within regulatory guidelines, company policies, and help optimize pharmacy operations, inventory, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited university outside the United States.
• FPGEC certification.
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the Board of Pharmacy.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and generics.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications in line with workload.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, policies, and Good Faith Dispensing requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, StoreNET) and proposes enhancements.
• Supports insurance claims processing and follow-ups with payers and providers.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States

FPGEC
