Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a post-graduate pharmacist activities candidate to work under direct supervision and fulfill State Board requirements. You will provide pharmacy consulting, immunizations, and assist with compounding, dispensing and review of prescribed medications.

Under supervision, you will support workflow, inventory management, and customer experience while pursuing licensure and immunizer certification as required by the state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 45 days.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions and refills as directed by supervising pharmacist.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews and verification.
• Dispenses prescribed medications accurately and reviews workload impact.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and assists with procedures for efficient workflow.
• Maintains pharmacy IT knowledge and supports staff in using pharmacy systems.
• Supports insurance claim processing and follow-up with providers as needed.
• Provides immunizations and preventive health services such as flu shots.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States
