Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a post-graduate pharmacy associate to perform supervised pharmacy duties, fulfill state board requirements, and provide medication consulting to customers. Under supervision, you will support the pharmacy team, assist in drug therapy reviews, and ensure accurate dispensing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC) obtained or in process.
Intern permit/certificate as required by state Boards of Pharmacy, if applicable, or willingness to obtain.
Willingness to obtain licensure within 45 days after intern hours.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and adherence under supervision.
Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications when workload necessitates.
Supports workflow, inventory management, and policy adherence to ensure efficient operations.
Provides immunizations and wellness services as part of preventive care offerings.
