Primary Health Care, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Director to oversee PHC's comprehensive pharmacy services across Des Moines area locations including Ames and Marshalltown.

You will lead staff, manage dispensing, counseling, formulary oversight, and 340B program leadership. The role directs the pharmacy business unit, develops the annual budget, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives performance improvement in ambulatory health centers.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure in Iowa.
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree (ACPE-accredited) or approved pathway.
• Minimum 3 years in managing pharmacy operations.
• Minimum 1 year supervising a team.
• Experience with 340B program and reimbursements.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support and Mandatory Reporter Training within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Staff PHC Pharmacy locations, lead staff, interns and students, manage orientation and performance.
• Oversee dispensing of prescriptions and counseling on interactions, dosage, and side effects.
• Manage formulary, inventory, purchasing, and 340B compliance; ensure storage and record keeping.
• Develop annual pharmacy operating budget; monitor revenues and expenses; handle cash receipts.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance across PHC pharmacies.
• Collaborate with compliance to maintain 340B compliance and participate in strategic planning for pharmacy services.
• Establish relationships with providers and community partners; support marketing and fundraising as appropriate.
