Primary Health Care, Inc (PHC) is seeking a Behavioral Health Director to oversee PHC's behavioral health care delivery model across Des Moines area, Ames, and Marshalltown. The role is full‑time with 16 hours per week spent providing therapy, directing the BH team, and ensuring standards of care align with grant requirements.

The Director will supervise clinicians, drive quality and outcomes, revise policies, support staffing, and collaborate with clinic leadership to meet patient demand.

Qualifikationen

• Licensed in Iowa: LISW/LMSW, LMHC, or LMFT as recognized by the state.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marital and Family Therapy, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or related field for required license.
• Minimum of 2 years in clinical behavioral health.
• Experience with third‑party payers and related regulations.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and Mandatory Reporter Training within 90 days.

• Lead and supervise the behavioral health team; mentor, coach, and provide feedback.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring BH team members; oversee onboarding and credentialing.
• Monitor quality and outcomes; update policies and ensure compliance with ethics and laws.
• Facilitate process improvement; participate in committees and implement best practices.
• Participate in annual budget planning; set productivity targets and manage staffing to meet patient demand.
• Integrate behavioral health with primary care and supportive services; oversee grants and contracts.
• Provide direct patient care as needed (brief therapy, assessment, interventions).
