Job summary

Primary Health Care, Inc (PHC) seeks a Pharmacy Director to lead PHC’s comprehensive pharmacy services across Des Moines, Ames, and Marshalltown. The director will supervise staff, manage dispensing, ensure formulary compliance, and drive 340B program operations.

The role requires a Pharm.D. with Iowa licensure and 3+ years of management experience in a pharmacy setting, including 340B or reimbursement knowledge. Strong leadership and regulatory acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license recognized by the State of Iowa.
• Pharmacist licensure via Pharm.D. or approved pathway per Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
• Experience managing pharmacy operations and supervising staff.
• Experience with the 340B Drug Pricing Program and pharmacy reimbursements.

Responsibilities

• Staff PHC Pharmacy locations, supervise staff, interns and students; monitor productivity; provide feedback.
• Oversee dispensing of prescriptions; counsel patients and practitioners on drug interactions and side effects.
• Oversee formulary, procurement, inventory and 340B program compliance.
