Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Pharmacy Director to lead pharmacy services, ensure safe, efficient care, and guide a team with modern equipment. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, budget oversight, and cross-team collaboration in a hospital setting.

You will oversee operations, mentor staff, manage medication safety, and participate in leadership committees while promoting a supportive and inclusive workplace culture focused on quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from a U.S.-accredited program or recognized equivalent per certifying agency.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Convey the hospital's mission to staff and motivate them to improve capabilities.
• Oversee pharmacy operations, including scheduling, assessments, and process improvements.
• Provide direct patient and pharmaceutical care.
• Demonstrate competence in antimicrobial stewardship, sterile/non-sterile prep, controlled substances, and safety.
• Educate staff on pharmaceutical care and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Stay current with new medications and collaborate on departmental budgets with the Controller.
• Lead hospital committees such as Quality Assurance, Formulary, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, MEC, and Safety.
• Celebrate achievements of the team and maintain a positive work environment.
