Right Dose Pharmacy, part of the Guardian family, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician in Ankeny, IA. You will enter prescriptions, triage faxes, and verify dosages while delivering courteous customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a pharmacy technician license; national certification is preferred. Expect a fast-paced environment with weekend and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy technician license/certification/registration required; National Certification (PTCB) preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience; advanced degree may substitute.
• Advanced computer skills; experience with pharmacy systems preferred.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system accurately and timely.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Verify dosage and notes in computer records.
• Respond to customer calls with care and courtesy; route as needed.
• Assist with filing, packaging, inventory, and cycle medication tasks as needed.
