Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Wisconsin in Madison, WI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician focused on data entry. You will enter and process prescriptions into the pharmacy system with speed and accuracy, while communicating with customers by phone.

Qualified applicants have 2+ years of related experience, advanced computer skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment. State license/certification is required or preferred, with weekends/overtime possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration required per state.
• National Certification (PTCB) preferred.
• Minimum 2 years related experience; advanced degree may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system accurately and timely.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Verify dosage and notes for accuracy; respond to doctor offices on refills.
• Communicate with customers on the phone with care and professionalism.
• Maintain data entry records for cycle medications and renewal orders.
• Assist with filing, packaging, inventory, and recording of medication orders as needed.
