Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy, LLC in Wytheville, Virginia is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to enter and process prescriptions accurately, triage faxed orders, and communicate with customers by phone. The role requires state-appropriate technician licensure and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration per state.
• National certification (PTCB) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system with speed and accuracy.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Enter proper notes and cycle fill coding in the computer.
• Calculate or verify correct dosage based on prescription.
• Interact with customers by phone, providing courteous service and routing calls as needed.
• Ensure all prescriptions are completed within the shift.
• Coordinate with doctors' offices for refills and follow‑ups as needed.
• Develop proficiency in pharmacy systems (document imaging, legacy software).
• May assist with filing, packaging, inventory, and order processing as needed.
• Maintain and update data entry records for cycle medications and renewals.
