Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of South Carolina, part of the Guardian family, has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician in Charleston. The role focuses on entering prescriptions, processing orders, and providing courteous service to customers by phone and in person.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements).
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB).
• 2+ years related experience; advanced computer skills; pharmacy systems experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines; great attention to detail.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into operating system accurately to prevent errors.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Verify correct dosage and maintain proper notes in the system.
• Communicate with customers by phone, providing top level service.
• Assist with filing, inventory, and processing prescriptions as needed.
