Job summary

Actalent is seeking a fully onsite Pharmacy Technician in Fort Worth, TX. The contract role requires data entry, claims processing, and coordination with providers to ensure accurate prescription processing.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas-registered Pharmacy Technician license, CPhT, and have experience with prior authorizations. Training lasts three weeks, with standard shifts 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. CST or 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. CST, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician certification and Texas State Board of Pharmacy license in good standing.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential (PTCB) preferred.
• Proven data entry experience with fast, accurate typing.
• Experience with claims processing, adjudication, and issue resolution.
• Experience initiating prior authorizations and claim overrides.
• Experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings.

Responsibilities

• Review referral contents for completeness and accuracy.
• Create detailed patient profiles from scanned images by entering data.
• Perform an initial clinical check of prescriptions before processing.
• Communicate with providers to clarify prescriptions and resolve issues.
• Enter pharmacy benefit information and adjudicate claims for payment.
• Investigate claim denials and discrepancies and resolve them.
• Initiate prior authorizations and overrides for payable claims.
• Identify funds or copay assistance for patients when needed.
• High-volume, accurate data entry related to prescriptions and claims.
