Qualifications:
Pharmacy Data Analyst I
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health information administration, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field
- 2 years’ relevant work experience in data analysis or supporting relational database development, maintenance, or utilization in healthcare or business systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pharmacy Data Analyst II
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health information administration, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field
- 5 years’ relevant work experience in data analysis or supporting relational database development, maintenance, or utilization in healthcare or business systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- STARS and MES experience strongly preferred
Pharmacy Data Analyst III
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health information administration, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field
- 8 years’ relevant work experience in data analysis or supporting relational database development, maintenance, or utilization in healthcare or business systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- STARS and MES experience strongly preferred
Skills and Attributes:
Pharmacy Data Analyst I
- Advanced SQL expertise and report-writing capabilities, proficiency in Oracle suite, Microsoft Access, SQL Navigator, and advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VBA, macros, vlookups).
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently perform complex analyses and develop innovative methodologies.
- Comprehensive understanding of corporate data systems (claims, membership, pricing, provider) and healthcare fundamentals including medical terminology, diagnosis/procedure coding, and provider reimbursement methodologies.
- Well-developed business acumen in finance, accounting, statistics, risk management, and project management, supporting strategic and tactical planning through creative data applications.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, capable of interfacing with stakeholders and leading training and documentation initiatives.
- Ability to create and validate desk procedures, ensuring departmental cohesion and accuracy, while managing cross-functional training with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of managed care principles, underwriting, and actuarial concepts, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to complex business challenges.
Pharmacy Data Analyst II - In addition to Level I
- Advanced/complex SQL knowledge and report-writing capabilities; recognized as department expert.
- Proficient with Oracle tools, Microsoft Access, SQL Navigator, SQL, VBA, ODBC, and report/form development.
- Highly advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to management levels effectively.
- Proven capacity to work independently on complex projects with significant financial or risk implications.
- Understanding of all relevant corporate data systems.
Pharmacy Data Analyst III - In addition to Level I and II
- Ability to work independently or with a team; mentors or coaches others; may lead projects.
What You Will Do at Cambia:
Pharmacy Data Analyst I and II
- Develop and maintain complex SQL reports, dashboards, and automate validation procedures.
- Perform advanced statistical analysis, data modeling, and trend analysis to deliver actionable insights.
- Design and maintain reporting systems, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
- Evaluate impacts of new products, systems, and processes on data infrastructure.
- Mentor and support business analysts in reporting methodologies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate data capture and interpret datasets.
- Make high-stakes decisions with substantial financial impact and validate complex reports.
Pharmacy Data Analyst III
- Recognized as the technical expert on pharmacy data analytics issues.
- Mentor, coach, or lead projects involving Level I and II analysts.

Salary and Benefits:
The hiring salary range for Pharmacy Data Analyst I is $56,950 - $77,050/year, with a full range of $53,000 - $88,000/year. The bonus target is 5%.
The salary range for Level II is $75,650 - $102,350/year, with a full range of $71,000 - $116,000/year. The bonus target is 10%.
The salary range for Level III is $91,800 - $124,200/year, with a full range of $91,800 - $124,200/year. The bonus target is 15%.
