Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale, including trade-up and/or companion products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and records transactions. Assists with merchandise pricing and stocking as directed by store management.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting pharmacists with workflow and scheduling.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and follows company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Assists with pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and performs resets as needed.
- Supports food product placement and stock rotation following store policies.
- Possesses working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos, poster printing, and promotional products.
- Manages web order pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring, fulfilling, and delivering orders.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance, ensuring a neat and organized environment.
- Adheres to all company policies, maintains respectful relationships with coworkers, and completes assigned tasks and special projects.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Participates in training sessions, acquires continuing education credits, and stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
