Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register, handles cash and change, and processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records stock levels. Checks and prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and assisting with workflow scheduling.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to pharmacy policies, including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policy.
- Handles non-urgent telephone inquiries, including calls to physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and manages claims related to warehouse discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains product displays, including seasonal and promotional setups, and completes resets as needed.
- Assists with food product organization and stock rotation according to policies.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups and delivery.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance, and maintains respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes additional tasks and special assignments as directed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
