Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Handles register transactions, including collecting cash, giving change, processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in-store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions. Assists in pricing merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with workflow scheduling.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and adheres to pharmacy policies, including the Quality Improvement Program and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and maintains asset protection procedures.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like tobacco and alcohol.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and performs resets as needed.
- Assists with food product placement and stock rotation following safety and quality standards.
- Has knowledge of store systems and equipment to provide effective customer service.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional prints, and manages web order pick-ups.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Attends training sessions and acquires necessary credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
Additional Requirements
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
