Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up or related products to customers.
- Operates cash register to process transactions, including handling cash, refunds, exchanges, and voids. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures accurate pricing and labeling.
- Supports pharmacy operations under supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with workflow management.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and follows company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians, and processes third-party prescription claims.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and managing warehouse overages or shortages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains visual displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as directed.
- Assists with food and product placement, stock rotation, and inventory procedures.
- Possesses working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional products, and manages web order pickups.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Performs additional tasks and special assignments as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Participates in training sessions, acquires new skills, and stays updated with healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Note: Must be fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
