Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including processing payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures proper pricing and merchandising.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and monitoring for interactions, under supervision.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to pharmacy policies, including the Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, processes third-party prescription claims, and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and managing warehouse overages, shortages, and damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, completes resets, and assists with product placement and stock rotation.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos and promotional products, and manages web order pickups.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, complies with policies, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Performs additional tasks and special assignments as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education.
- Stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
