Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products to customers.
- Handles register transactions, including collecting cash, giving change, processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records stock levels. Assists in pricing and checking in merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information accurately, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Assists pharmacists with scheduling and workflow management.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and follows company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles incoming calls that do not require pharmacist intervention, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
- Supports inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques and reports discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with legal regulations regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains visual displays and performs resets as directed.
- Assists with product placement, stock rotation, and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards.
- Operates store systems and equipment proficiently.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional printing, and manages web order pickups.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes assigned tasks and special projects as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
